DEA Boards - (This Forum).
For a while now members have asked questions like : -
Who are we?
Who runs this forum / website?
Ok, so here goes. . . .
This forum was set up by trainee DEA's such as myself and various members as a way to keep in touch after the training / workshop course, as we were all doing the same course work and tasks (Anyone remember the dreaded NOS)?
Well as all of us were doing the same thing and some (if not all of us) were struggling the idea of this site was to share information and well go from there really. BUT, by the time we got round to setting up this website / forum quite a few of us had already passed.
So we then took the opportunity to add other sections to the forum, like technical queries, things involving 'the firm' 'MW' etc, (a sort of information center if you like), to discuss any questions that any of us had with like minded members.
As its only a young forum at the moment, a lot of sections remain empty, - these however should hopefully pick up in time as more work becomes available. Regular visits and regular posts are what keep this forum active.
Also another question people have asked: "Is this forum monitored?"
Well the answer to that is 'probably' - other companies, including 'The Firm', 'MW' etc can see any thing which you can see which is posted on these boards. If they take the time to look and read posts, then thats up to them. In fact, we welcome their input on various questions or comments made by ourselves on here or other members, as we don't have the answers to all queries posted on here, we know as much as you.
However as an employer and reputable business, if there are any heated exchanges about the firm then we are definitely keeping an eye on it.
Were also confident that they won't have any problem with any reasonable comments in the future. We just need to keep things factual and sensible.
This forum is an excellent vehicle for exchanging views and experiences on a whole host of topics, from technical aspects of surveys, experiences with customers, and any reasonable concerns about the firm. Don't forget either that it is an opportunity to air both positive and negative points, in an objective way.
Any potentially damaging posts will be removed, that's for sure, but that doesn't stop sensible comments and discussions about almost anything.
Also if you have any more questions or comments, then feel free to add them here.
